The Ashford of Berkshire Senior Living Community Officially Closes
We’re proud to announce that The Ashford of Berkshire, Wallick’s newest senior living community in Sunbury, Ohio, officially closed on June 6.
Financed through a $28 million construction loan from First Financial Bank, the 114-unit senior living community includes 82 assisted living units and a 32-bed memory care wing. Wallick partnered with RDL Architects (architecture), Kimley Horn (civil engineering) and POD Design (landscape architecture). Construction is underway, with completion expected in 2027.
The Ashford of Berkshire will span 95,767 square feet and offer residents comfort, personalized care, and a wide range of on-site amenities, including:
- Fitness and rehabilitation center
- Beauty salon
- Library with computer access
- Courtyard
- Dining lounge with full-service kitchen and meal plans
- Large bathrooms with walk-in showers
- Games and recreation
- Arts and crafts
- Entertainment programs
- Housekeeping and laundry services
- Transportation
- Health and wellness support
The community is also part of a broader strategic plan for the Berkshire area that spans 375 acres of mixed-use development. Positioned to foster a thriving environment for residents, it’s located near Tanger Outlets Columbus and sits alongside roughly 2,000 new homes and condos under construction.
Special thanks to Development Leads Michael DiCarlantonio, John Marra and Victoria Meade for their incredible efforts and dedication to making this project possible.
We look forward to serving seniors in the fast-growing Sunbury region.
