About The Community
Located in the City of Northwood, Wood County, Ohio, The Ashford at the Enclave is a 110-unit, 75,000-square-foot assisted living community.
Developed under the Ohio Housing Finance Agency’s new program, which uniquely pairs Medicaid reimbursement with 4% Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, this project makes high-quality assisted living accessible for more seniors than ever before.
Every unit at The Ashford at the Enclave is Medicaid-eligible, with 77 designed to be fully accessible and the remainder adaptable. The community will feature:
- Comprehensive care and support services
- A fully equipped commercial kitchen with both formal dining and a more casual bar/lounge-style space
- Management offices, a salon and multipurpose rooms for classes, programs and activities
- Housekeeping and resident laundry facilities on each floor
- A central courtyard and community gathering spaces throughout
Location Details & Partnerships
The Ashford at the Enclave sits within the redevelopment of Northwood’s former Woodville Mall, now a master-planned area known as The Enclave. Supported by city incentives, this broader redevelopment is transforming the former mall site into a new hub of community life. Residents will have direct access to resources like the Northwood Community Center, creating a genuine neighborhood environment where they can participate in activities and thrive.
Special thanks to Wallick’s Development leads, Michael DiCarlantonio, John Marra, and Victoria Meade, as well as our partners who helped make this possible:
