Dayton Children’s Hospital’s kinship housing project provides a pathway to stability and health for children raised by kinship caregivers—relatives or close family friends who step in to provide care when parents cannot. This $13 million, 26-unit community is a first-of-its-kind solution that offers beautiful, safe, and age-appropriate homes for families who often struggle to find suitable housing.

Wallick serves as the property manager for Vermillion Place, overseeing leasing, maintenance, and resident services.

The grand opening marked a major milestone for the neighborhood. At the celebration, Jonathan Stonebraker, Regional Vice President of Affordable Housing Operations, spoke on Wallick’s commitment to fostering a welcoming environment and supporting residents as they begin a new chapter at Vermillion Place.

Jonathan Stonebraker, RVP of Affordable Housing Operations, Wallick, shares remarks

As families move in and make Vermillion Place their home, our team remains dedicated to providing them with the support, respect, and sense of community every family deserves.

Interested applicants can learn more or apply at https://www.vermillionplace.com/.

Priority is given to kinship caregivers with legal custody of the children in their care. Housing is income-restricted, and applicants need not currently live in Montgomery County but must be willing to relocate.
