Wallick’s Alexis Dunfee Profiled in Affordable Housing News’ Annual Power Women Feature
Wallick SVP of Development Alexis Dunfee was recently profiled in Affordable Housing News’ Power Women feature. In it, she highlights how Wallick is evolving its approach to development, expanding into new states and embracing deeper, more creative collaboration with community partners and local government.
The piece spotlights Wallick’s expansion into North Carolina, including Burrell Lofts, a $31 million affordable senior housing community in Raleigh’s South Park neighborhood that is helping to address displacement and provide homes for lifelong residents.
She also touches on how the team is bringing fresh thinking to an increasingly complex industry and investing in its people.
“I know that the way I’m structuring deals today and approaching our partners is different than the past. And those on my team continue to push me to say, ‘Have you thought about doing it this way? Why do we have to do it that way?’ The questioning of the status quo and the coming to the table with solutions and quicker, better, faster ways to do things—I think it’s uplifting us all.” – Alexis Dunfee, SVP of Development
