Wallick Secures OLIHTC Resources for Homestead Crossing in Youngstown, OH
In October, Wallick was awarded Ohio Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (OLIHTC) resources for Homestead Crossing, a 120-unit affordable housing community coming to Youngstown, OH. This is our second project funded through the Ohio Housing Finance Agency’s (OHFA) program, following last year’s award for Harding Heights.
Homestead Crossing will offer family housing with a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments across five three-story buildings. Residents will have access to competitive unit sizes and amenities, including fully equipped kitchens with dishwashers, washer/dryer hookups and generous storage space. The community will also include shared amenities such as a playground, a community building with gathering space and fitness room, a central laundry facility and an outdoor covered patio.
The development was one of only 10 projects selected for 4% OLIHTC awards out of 48 applications statewide. The site, located at 800 East Indianola Avenue, is being acquired through the City of Youngstown’s Land Reutilization Program.
