DISCOVERING THE POSSIBILITIES THROUGH CHANGE

The 2021 Learning Event will be held October 14, at The Ohio Union in Columbus, OH, for those who are comfortable attending in person AND virtual for those who aren’t.

Here’s what we have planned:

PRESENTER BIOS

Kathy Parry works with leading professional services firms including: Consulting, Accounting and Banking that want to energize employees in order to BOOST PERFORMANCE, INCREASE RETENTION and IMPROVE STAFF UTILIZATION.

Audiences rave about Kathy’s humorous, yet inspirational speaking style. A recognized authority in personal energy and productivity, Kathy uses her passion to ignite positive changes for professional services leaders and early-career associates. Prior to launching her own business Kathy was a trainer for a super-regional bank on their merger and acquisition team. Travel throughout the south implementing training for merger-acquired operations facilities, Kathy developed her own protocol for staying energized and productive on the road.

But it was Kathy’s fourth child who taught her the most about energy. Merritt Joy was diagnosed with a mitochondrial disease. Her cells did not properly turn food into energy. Kathy spent the next several years becoming an expert in cellular function and received her Certification in Plant Based Nutrition from T.Colin Campbell Program at eCornell University. She makes the science of energy engaging and audiences leave her sessions with an action list to power-up their own lives.

Kathy also holds degrees in Business and Food Management from Miami University and a coaching certification from WellCoaches. Ms. Parry is a professional member of The National Speakers Association and has authored three books: The Ultimate Recipe for an Energetic Life and Hung Over, Sleep-Deprived, Over-Caffeinated and Living on Pizza and Eating for Energy: Four Seasons of Real Food.  Kathy lives in Pittsburgh, PA.  She enjoys a mild dark chocolate addiction and cooking for her hungry friends.

With over 15 years of experience in corporate Learning & Development / Human Resources, Courtney Ramsey knows about helping others succeed! As a speaker, author, and consultant, she’s known for creating and facilitating leadership programs that empower and motivate.

 Over the years, Courtney has trained over 20 thousand associates in the areas of leadership, business management, conflict resolution, effective communication, and operations, helping companies like JCPenney, Sephora inside JCPenney, and Zale Corporation save millions of dollars.

She received her MBA and BBA in Marketing from Texas A&M University. She holds her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification, and is a Certified Professional in Talent Development with the Association for Talent Development.

This insightful, dynamic program will be presented Courtney Ramsey from Magnet Culture, a firm committed to reducing unnecessary employee turnover by bridging generational gaps and making managers more effective in their roles. As workforce thought leaders and trainers, the Magnet team presents 100+ programs annually exploring today’s new workforce and sharing proven retention strategies from their book, Staying Power: Why Your Employees Leave & How to Keep Them Longer.

Matt has spent his career working as a training expert with multiple organizations. Some of the qualities that differentiate Matt as a consultant and a trainer are his engaging and active style along with his ability to effectively communicate and connect with all levels of an organization. His areas of expertise include Leadership Training, Sales Training, and Effective Communication.

Matt has lead training for logistics companies in the Cincinnati area and served as a trainer for Gateway Community and Technical College. Matt obtained his Master’s Degree in Education from Xavier University, specializing in Human Resource Development after completing his Bachelors of Arts at Northern Kentucky University.

Well-developed emotional intelligence skills make it possible to work well with a wide variety of people and to respond effectively to the rapidly changing conditions at work. This program will explore the five core factors of EQ: Self-Awareness, Self-Regulation, Motivation, Social Awareness, and Social Regulation.

  • Learn how to take one’s own emotional temperature and manage various emotional states in a positive manner
  • Explore how to observe and manage the emotional states of those around us and those we lead
  • Determine how to use one’s individual emotional energy to move closer to desired goals
