Wallick's Senior Living Communities Focus on Residents' Needs, Not Market Demand
Two New Communities to Open this Fall

It's no secret. The request for assisted living and memory care is growing and developers are eager to meet the demand. However, how many of these developers take the time to really understand the needs and desires of our nation's seniors? We've spent the last 30 years in the senior living industry and have come to realize that our seniors and their families focus on two main attributes when searching for a home/care solution. Besides the basics like appetizing meals and a vibrant activities calendar, they want to be genuinely cared for and not be stressed over running out of resources. We give them both.

Most assisted living and memory care communities come with a large price tag the majority of seniors simply cannot afford. Additionally, our seniors want to be cared for and loved as they would be by their own families. In addition to Wallick's five existing communities, we have designed the Ashford at Sturbridge and The Grove at Oakleaf Village to meet these specific needs.

As our third affordable assisted living community, Sturbridge will serve as a cost-effective option for seniors in Hilliard, Ohio and other surrounding Columbus areas. We chose to build this community on the campus of our affordable, independent senior apartment community, Sturbridge Green, to provide the care and services our current residents need at every stage of their lives, without having to relocate.

This fall we will also open our second memory care community, The Grove at Oakleaf Village of Columbus. The Grove Columbus will also be affordable; however, it is a community specifically for those suffering from dementia-related illnesses.

As the desires of our residents continue to change, we will always strive to deliver on both their needs and wants at every stage of their lives.
Daines Village Moving Forward after Wallick Receives Housing
Tax Credit Award

The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) recently awarded Wallick Communities almost $800,000 in 9% Low-Income Housing Tax Credits for the development of Daines Village Apartments, a soon-to-be built affordable family community in London, Ohio. Located between Columbus and Dayton, the community was named in memory of Bob Daines, a recognized expert in affordable housing and one of Wallick's most respected leaders.
