The New Faces of Assisted Living
The Ashford on Broad & The Ashford of Mt. Washington Fill a Dire Need for Affordable Assisted Living.

There’s a large unmet need in the realm of senior living that Wallick Communities is working hard to meet. Currently, high-cost assisted living communities are coming online in many towns across America. However, fewer than half of our seniors can afford to live in one of these communities. The other half are largely being neglected and left living at risk, at home, or having to go prematurely into a nursing home. The Ashford on Broad and The Ashford of Mt. Washington, developed by Wallick Communities, serve as an affordable option for these seniors.

With experience in both assisted living and affordable housing, Wallick Communities is uniquely capable of developing and operating communities that fit the financial means of everyone.

Tucked away in the quiet Mt. Washington neighborhood of Cincinnati, The Ashford of Mt. Washington was formerly an independent senior apartment community. After Wallick converted the community into assisted living, it now contains 108 studio and one-bedroom suites.

The Ashford on Broad, formerly the Ramada Columbus Airport Hotel, was also transformed by Wallick into assisted living. The community offers a mix of 131 studio and one-bedroom suites. After acquiring the Ramada, Wallick donated hundreds of items—beds, linens, furniture, appliances and more—from the fully furnished hotel to local nonprofits.

Presently, Wallick Communities has an affordable memory care community under construction and its third affordable assisted living community is in development.
